          Dr. 安吉拉·斯波尔丁 joined the West Texas A&M University faculty in 1994, and has since served in a variety of progressively increasing leadership responsibilities including: Program Chair of Educational Leadership, Interim Department Head of Education, Associate Dean of College of Education and Social Sciences, to her current roles as Vice 总统 of 研究 and Compliance and Dean of 研究所.

          Dr. Spaulding was selected as a member of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ (AASCU) Millennium Leadership Protégé Class of 2008. She has also received the WTAMU Outstanding Professor Award and recognition by the Texas A&M University System Regent’s as an accomplished project director. Additionally, she has served on the State-level Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Graduate Education Advisory Committee (GEAC).

          Dr. Spaulding serves as the Dean of Graduate School and works collaboratively with West Texas A&M University academic deans and their colleges and schools to strengthen and expand graduate programming. The Dean of Graduate School supervises the Graduate School Office and, in collaboration with the WTAMU colleges and schools,  facilitates the following graduate student and faculty processes: admission, accreditation, curriculum, degree plans, interdisciplinary programs, academic policy and procedure, suspension, probation, appeals, comprehensive exams, thesis and dissertations, graduation/commencement, marketing and recruitment, graduate scholarships and assistantships, graduate faculty membership, graduate council, and graduate advisory council. The Dean of 研究所 serves on the University Tenure and Promotion Committee, University Curriculum Committee, and serves as a member of Deans’ Council.

          The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents approved Dr. Spaulding as the inaugural Vice President of Research and Compliance in 2013. As Vice President of Research and Compliance, Dr. Spaulding carries the University roles of Chief Research Officer  and Compliance Officer, among others, with direct oversight of multiple campus entities including: the Office of Sponsored Research Services, McNair Scholars Program, Title III Department of Education Retention Program, University Research Alliance, West Texas Evaluation and Research, UL/WTAMU Wind Testing Facility and Environmental Health and Safety - including Fire and Life, 研究, and General safety. She is a member of 总统’s Cabinet. Additionally, she serves as the Institutional Official for the WTAMU research compliance committees, including the Institutional Review Board (IRB); Institutional Animal Care and Usage Committee; and the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC). Dr. Spaulding has completed and received certification as a Corporate Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.

          She has responsibility and provides leadership in multiple Texas A&M University System-Wide (TAMUS) assignments, including: TAMUS Chief 研究 Officers Committee, TAMUS Compliance Officers, and TAMUS 研究所 Deans.






          Dr. Spaulding is a tenured professor in educational leadership with over 85 publications and presentations and over 8 million in external funding. She has been recognized by the Texas A&M University System Regent’s as a accomplished project director.
